Music for the Soul

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Raymond Baxter through #LinkYourLife Connection on Facebook and I have to say I am so glad I did.  His words come alive and invoke all kinds of emotions from the reader.  He is thoughtful, insightful, honest and raw. If you haven’t heard of him, then get yourself over to The Relationship Blogger immediately and browse around.

Through working together, Raymond found out I like to sing and next thing I know I’m doing video’s of songs that mean something to me and I have a spot in Music for the Soul on his site.  These are songs that have meaning or have touched my heart in some way.  I am by no means a professional singer, but I do love it and am grateful for the opportunity to share it with others.

Below are my first two posts and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this.  Music as we all know moves us.  It brings up emotions in us that only we can understand.  It brings us back in time and makes us nostalgic for when we were in love with someone, when we went to school, when we drove all night with the windows open singing at the top of our lungs.  You don’t have to be a singer to love to sing.  I urge you to find that song that YOU love, make your own video (I used the Smule App on my iPhone) you can do it from anywhere!  I would love to hear the songs that touch your heart and why, please feel free to share below!

Song List:

Arms – Christina Perry Cover – The Relationship Blogger; I’ve al had a hard time with hugging and being held.  It’s very intimate for me.  When I finally found how soothing and remarkable having the one you love wrap you in their arms, I knew why so many people loved hugging.  This is why I love this song.

Part of Your World – The Little Mermaid – The Relationship Blogger; I’ve dreamt about being someone else at one time or another in my life.  Wanting to be somewhere else, do things other’s go to do.  This song takes me back to when my kids were little, reminds me that we all want more at some point in time and that’s ok.
