I will be gone over the next few days and I wanted to let you know why.

So here’s why….no big aha moment or monumental life altering event, I will be away from the computer due to my hand(s).

I have Dupuytren’s Contracture and if you don’t know what that is, I have added the Mayo Clinic’s link for more information.

I have had this condition for over ten years and it’s hereditary, thanks Dad! My right hand has begun to close and aside from wearing a hook on it, there’s not much you can do besides have injections or do surgery. I opted for the injections; A) because they can offer some relief with little invasiveness and 2) Cause who the hell wants to go through the holiday’s with your hand in a vice? Not me!

So starting tomorrow I will be on a small hiatus, tending to my wounds and hoping I don’t come out more deformed than I went in.

The condition is not painful, but it is annoying and ugly and I’m pretty sure being I use a computer for my paycheck that I’m gonna need that hand of mine.

So the stories will continue shortly, the updates, leftovers and all that is AccidentallyAllison will be back in two shakes; which in real time is some time next week.
